The Toronto Regional Meeting was held at Madras Palace Restaurant on Saturday, September 8th from 4.30 to 9.30 pm., and it was well attended. Principal Dr. Thomas Philip spoke on the occasion about the present UCC, and his visit to Hope College, Holland, Michigan about furthering mutual exchange programs. Also, he shared that at present there are 8 Ph.D. programs at UCC. All the alumni were very glad to hear that. When asked him about starting a Ph.D. program in Psychology, where the famous Psychologist Dr. V. K. Alexander was a professor, the Principal agreed to accomplish that goal soon.

The alumni suggested to arrange the next meeting as a combined meeting for both the USA and Canadian alumni near the Niagara Falls area. Also, we discussed about increasing the membership and encouraged everybody to go to www.uccollegealumni.org and complete the membership registration form. Ormakkottu, the UCC nostalgia book was distributed. Also, discussed about the 5- year plan of donating $200.00 per year to raise one hundred thousand dollars for the UCCAANA Educational Endowment so that we can continue to help the poor and needy students at UCC.
